It relates to us as humans. We are all connected to one another in some way. We all are related and have something in us that is in common with another person. But yes, I agree. Our history started out with a few known geographical areas and now, life has formed across the world through exploration and discovery

I believe that the saying is just an egotistical exageration made by the pompous and self-indulgent citizens to glorify their power over other people and to show that had indeed produced many roads ~MW
I think that the saying means that if you seek success, all roads lead to Rome. In Rome you can be a successful trader, or if you seek fame, you can be a gladiator. If you seek to be famous and rich... "All roads lead to Rome".

Anyone... Do you think that this culturally superfluous world is still connected by the roads of rome or do you think that the cultures have not melded together in a complete melting pot of diversity? -Lindsay
